Hi, I’m Yelena!

I’m a first generation college graduate and attorney. I went through college, law school and the first few years of my career wondering if I had what it takes and working harder than my peers to prove that I belonged.

But no matter how good my grades were or the awards I got, it never felt like enough. 

I thought hard work would help get me ahead as I started my career at a big 4 accounting firm, and it did, until it didn’t.

I saw guys who worked less hours and started working after me getting promoted at the same time as I did. Others kept getting the projects and opportunities I wished I could.
