Our Most Used & Loved Baby Items

I shared some of our most used newborn items in this post and postpartum essentials here, and wanted to create an easy to shop list for any other new mamas out there who are wondering what you actually need to buy for your baby.

Note, this list is for the first five months and a lot of this was gifted to us (here is a link to our baby registry if you’re curious!), but we also bought a lot ourselves as the need arose. If possible, we try to look for items on Facebook Marketplace first - we’ve gotten some great finds in like new condition on there!

For baby clothes - we were incredibly blessed to borrow most of our baby clothes from my sister and sister-in-law who had baby boys a year before us. We did buy some newborn sleepers (always buy ones with footies and zippers!) and lots of Carhartt and John Deere baby boy clothes (my husband works for Deere!).

We started out using Pampers diapers, but recently discovered Believe diapers, and y’all - such a huge difference, and so worth paying a little more. To save, subscribe & save + use this link to purchase and get 25% off. Plus, they donate a diaper to a U.S. family in need for every diaper you buy, and are not made of harmful ingredients and chemicals. You can learn more about diapers and how they rank here.

Also, my co-workers got us a Panda Crate baby subscription as a gift and Levi has LOVED the items in there - it includes toys, play mats, flash cards and all sorts of age-appropriate items for babies. This is such a good baby shower gift!

What did you use the most often those first five months?
